With over 35 years of experience in the Chemical and CPG industries, Matt Bergstrom has worked in many Supply Chain functional areas. Experience with Dow Chemical, Solutia, Distribution Management, Pepsi, and McCain Foods included roles in Customer Service, Demand Planning, Production Planning, Supply Planning, Global Supply Planning, S&OP Development, SAP implementation projects and Continuous Improvement projects for both process and the tools to support.
Matt has been a leader of and key contributor to supply planning teams that delivered significant savings, reduced waste, and improved customer service. He has been key to implementing SAP APO and IBP modules as well as ways to use the technology to help address gaps in the planning capabilities. By implementing these improvements, Matt understands how to break down complex needs, achieve executive support, and align shareholders and participants for success.
Matt believes improving the tools, skill sets, and understanding of supply chain theory are exciting ways to move a whole supply chain organization forward. Matt likes to remind constituents that supply chain is a team sport and has developed and taught internal supply chain courses. Teaching small, focused sessions as well as developing and delivering training and education regarding process and tool improvements has helped to deliver results to the supply chain.
Matt graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He also earned his MBA degree from Central Michigan University. He is based in the Chicago area with his wife. He and his wife enjoy traveling and he looks forward to hunting and fishing adventures with his 4 sons.
