Kumar has 30 years of global leadership experience in sourcing and procurement. He has developed strategies and implemented enterprise-wide cross functional programs delivering substantial EBIT and working capital impact. He has a record of building strong sourcing organizations. Kumar has been a speaker and panelist at sourcing conferences such as ProcureCon and ICN, and writes articles on sourcing.

Kumar’s career spans large corporations across diverse industries. Kumar spent 16 years at global manufacturer Owens Corning as Director of Indirect Sourcing. He led a global team responsible for creating category strategy, contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, and technology implementation. He managed an annual spend of $900MM over categories such as IT, Marketing, HR, Finance, and MRO. Kumar led initiatives to create sourcing technology roadmap, standardize key processes and analyze complex supply chains to identify and capitalize on opportunities to reduce cost and enhance efficiency. His recent engagement includes IT and telecom sourcing at a large investment bank.

Kumar also has 8 years’ experience leading IT Sourcing at American Airlines, and 6 years of global finance experience in Zambia and India.
